📜 BACKGROUND / ORIGIN
Mr. Teeth rises from the rubble of an event that happened weeks ago—a broken but reformed human-shaped, mangled frame. The creaking of new bones in skin being reformed, the tearing of clothing, flesh, and materials around him echo as he pulls himself upright. He rises to what we would call “feet,” though they are more like hoofs or claws.

The last thing he remembers was an explosion—then darkness. Flashes of gunshots. Stabbings. Being held underwater until he blacked out. Each trauma returned to him in salted, blinding flashes. Then memory sharpened: the nanobots. Those goddamn nanobots. They did it again.

But looking down at his hands, he realizes they are no longer what they used to be. His arms and hands are coated in a black, dense material. He can hardly feel anything. At first, he attributes it to shock—but this is not shock. This is permanent.

The rubble around him is weeks old. Police tape has been put up, trampled, and torn down. Whatever happened here is over—now it’s just wreckage. As he stumbles out of it, he hears scraping and looks down. Something is very wrong. He proceeds to run from the area, only to realize the nanobots have gone beyond their original programming. He’s moving faster than he ever could before. He’s a speedster now.

He makes it to his safe house in a quarter of the time it should have taken. A grim laugh escapes him. But when he looks in the mirror, his laugh dies. He is appalled by the reflection—by the thing staring back. His mind snaps. That was the last straw.

What was meant to be a precaution became a curse. He can’t go back. He can’t fix this. Everything he had is gone. His operation—betrayed. His fortune—stolen. The city—fallen back into turmoil. His family—gone. The only person left is his childhood friend, Upkill, who had no idea what happened to him.

Manny makes his choice:
“I will be the man behind the king. I will be your enforcer. But I will also rule—you’ll just be my puppet.”

Upkill refuses, demanding equal partnership: “I’m nobody’s fucking puppet.” Manny accepts. And with that, Wingman is gone. Mr. Teeth is born.
